Cry Me A River Fest 2009 DVD

That’s right, you thought it would never happen, but it is nearly completed: The DVD documenting the Cry Me A River Fest 2009! You get to see performances of all bands of this years fest, it is compiled by Sean of the lovely Dolcim (who will soon have some new tunes out, perpare yourself for them!).


You can get it soon for 5 Euros plus postage either from Lars of React With Protest Records or directly by Sean for people living outside Europe

Cry Me A River Fest 2009 roundup

After our first news about the Cry Me A River Fest 2009 we give you another roundup with new information on pricing and the schedule so far.

As every year you have to reserve your tickets in front, so no way to get tickets at the fest if you haven’t pre-ordered one of the 300 tickets! Both days cost 15€, friday 8€, saturday 10€. You can get a vegan breakfast on saturday morning for 4€ done by the lovely Ulbrich family. Due to littering stuff in the last years there is a camping and trash fee of 5€ per tent. The schedule so far is the following:

Cry Me A River Fest 2009 will rock!(Update 04/01/2009)

Update: Due to the newsletter from React With Protest Records the confirmed bands lists is the following:

First news on the Cry Me A River Fest 2009: It will take place in the Wöstenkrug in Peckeloh\Versmold again, the dates are friday 26th and saturday 27th of June. There are already some bands confirmed, you will be rocked by Danse Macabre, Ghostlimb, Graf Orlock, Ghostchant, Zann, Dolcim, Grinding Halt and the fucking almighty SHIKARI! Yes, that’s right Shikari will reunite for one show at the Cry Me A River Fest 2009, so be prepared! We keep you updated on this.

RWP News January 2009

hi folks,
after some short break we are back with some exciting news from React With Protest Records:

  • The Third Memory‘s 2nd LP will be available in early february, you can already preorder it in the RWP Webstore.
  • The long delayed Battle Of Wolf 359 full-length should be available in february, too.
  • The Dolcim full-length is planned for march / april 2009 and is thus ready for the band’s European Tour in May / June.
  • The news about the Cry Me A River Fest 2009 are old news for us besides some more confirmed bands. Just have a look here.

RWP October News: June Paik 10inch & Keitzer LP & Dolcim Tour

The next two releases on React With Protest Records are:

  • The June Paik 10inch was delayed two times due to some layout problems, but it should be out in two or three weeks. You can still pre-order it.
  • Some new release in the rwp schedule is the new Keitzer LP titled “As The World Burns”. Keitzer are in the vein of Bremen Hardcore style like Mörser and Systral.

Besides this Lars is booking the European tour for Dolcim, whose Demo CD-R resp. Tape is available in the RWP Webstore. The band is in Europe from 20th May until 27th of June 2009, if you want to set up a show or want any further information just drop Lars an email.

June Paik 10 Inch Pre-Order on React With Protest (Update!)

Update: If you pre-order a June Paik 10″ you will get a Dolcim demo for free with your order!
La familia Ulbrich is on holidays this week and after that the upcoming June Paik 10 inch will be sent to the pressing plant. The record contains 4 new long tracks in about 25 minutes. You can already pre-order the record, it costs 10 euros postpaid for German orders, 12 euros postpaid for European orders. You can paypal the money to label@reactwithprotest.org. Please not that Lars is on holidays this week, so be a bit patient to get a response from React With Protest.
As already stated here you can listen to one of the new songs on the bands or the labels myspace sites linked above.

Dolcim Demo CD-R available

React With Protest has the demo cd-r of the us band Dolcim available. Dolcim are Justin, Sean and Matt or in other words Cease Upon The Capitol with a new drummer.
They pretty much start where Cease Upon The Capitol ended, so check it out. If you live in the US just write the band an email and you can get a copy of the demo for free.
