New Denovali Releases – February 2009

Denovali Records has announced two new releases coming in the next weeks (and yes, the Neil On Impression 2x LP is still not there, but this is not a problem of Denovali, but of the other labels included in this release!):

  1. In two weeks there will be a Split LP of France’s The Third Memory and Norway’s Dominic. Both bands have two new songs on this record.

There will be 200 pieces on white wax for pre-orders only, the rest (300 pieces) is on black vinyl. The record costs 10,50€ without shipping. You can stream and also download the whole record here.
  2. The second lovely piece of wax is the previously on vinyl unreleased debut record of the instrumental rockers of Daturah. Being released on double vinyl you get 3 sides full of music and the 4th side being a screenprinting.

The band delivers 25 angry hardcore songs in less than 28 minutes, so you know what you get: fast, faster, Yacöpsae! This is the band’s second full-length and some of their best stuff. Buried Inside: New LP coming 09.03.2009

Canada’s wall-of-sound Buried Inside is back! In march they will release their new full-length entitled “Spoils Of Failure” on Relapse Records, which has also released their last LP “Chronoclast”.

buried_inside_spoils_of_failure
8 epic tracks full of the band’s well-known great instrumentation linked with multi vocals will blow you away. The band has put a part of one of the new songs on their myspace site, so give it a listen. We have waited four long years for this record, and the first tunes we get to hear makes me want this even more!
Relapse says the following about the release:

BURIED INSIDE returns with Spoils of Failure, the long-awaited follow up to the band’s now-classic Relapse debut Chronoclast. Four years in the making, Spoils of Failure’s eight epic tracks marry dense, riff-heavy layers of instrumentation and caustic vocal bellows with the deeply introspective and thought-provoking lyrics that have become BURIED INSIDE’s trademark. A completely enthralling album experience, Spoils of Failure is as stunning as it is unforgettable.

Bands you should know Part II: Alia

Another German band, this time from Leipzig, a four-piece playing in the vein of mid-90s emo mixed with great instrumental parts. Alia reminds me a lot of Mr Willis Of Ohio, heartfelt German lyrics with lots of drive in their sound.

The demo contains 6 songs clocking in around 20 minutes, it costs 5 € plus shipping and it is definitely worth listening to it. If you are living in near Leipzig you can check them out live on 20th of february in Mühlkeller together with the also Leipzig based Panta Rhei.

Wow, I really love this band although they haven’t any record out until now, but this will change soon: Vendetta Records will release Glasses first full-length in the near future. The band is a mishmash of people from Trainwreck, the already disbanded Perth Express, The 244GL and the also already disbanded The F.A.

Benefit Mix Tape For Anna out now on Fiducia Records

This tape needed a long time, but finally it is released on Fiducia Records. This is a compilation tape by lots of great bands named somewhere above, but most important is why this tape was made:
foranna
A year ago the girlfriend Anna of Patrick (singer of Dead Flesh Fashion) had a car accident and is now disabled. Following this both have to move out of their flat (4th floor without elevator), being in hospital in Hamburg for 9 months. Later on they moved nearby their families. All the money which is taken by this tape is for Anna and Patrick for paying some of the costs following the accident.
Read on about the bands on the tape as well as Patrick’s statement about the tape in the following and don’t forget to order it!
