Bye bye Sound Pollution Records, it was a great time!

One of the saddest news concerning hardcore music i discovered these days is the following Myspace Blog of Sound Pollution Records:

The end is here. After nearly 20 years, Sound Pollution is going to end. There are still plenty of records to sell, and everything will still be up and running until all the stock is gone. A few releases that have been in the pipeline might still happen or may move to another label. I’ll keep everyone posted on it. Over the years, I’ve put a ton of time into the label and have loved it. Sound Pollution has been a one-person operation since inception; that plus working a “real” job doesn’t leave me with a lot of free time. I’d like to see what else I can do with all the time I currently spend on the record label. I’ll still be setting up tours for friends’ bands and playing in Hellnation. Many many thanks to everyone all around the world who has supported the label over the years. The label wouldn’t have amounted to much without the help of so many great people. I’m really amazed at how many absolutely great records Sound Pollution was lucky enough to release. So don’t miss out on them. Once they’re gone…they’re gone.

Reversal Of Man full discography to be released in 2009

Financial Ruin Records has announced that they got approval from Ebullition Records to include Reversal Of Man’s songs from “This Is Medicine” LP. Thus a full discography of this band can be done including

• original Discography CD (the demo, all the early splits/singles)
• Revolution Summer 10inch
• This is Medicine LP
• Reversal Of Man’s songs from the Combatwoundedveteran Split 12inch

The format will be tape, so expect a 4-tape-box-set of this sometimes next summer. For the packaging and booklet old flyers, live pics, etc. are still needed, so if you have something to share, just drop a line to the label.

Delayed Records Part 2: Mihai Edrisch – L’Un Sans L’Autre LP

Second update in two days, we are getting better! After 4 months of problems with the artwork and misprinted covers Mihai Edrisch’s previously CD-only first full-length is released on vinyl! You can get this lovely record from Denovali Records. As most of the times for Denovali releases you can stream or even download the whole album for free! This is definitely worth buying it, since it is a great album of this already defunct French band, being pressed 250 pieces on clear with clear red haze and another 250 pieces on clear gold with black haze:

Due to the colored vinyl and nice designed covers a price of 12 Euros a piece without shipping is worth this vinyl release for sure.

Delayed Records Part 1: Only For The Sake Of Aching / Kias Fansuri Split 7″

Already announced for Only For The Sake Of Aching’s tour this summer with Amalthea, after lots of delay, their Split 7inch with the great Kias Fansuri is now available. This is a split release of Synalgie Records, Ape Must Not Kill Ape Records and Still Leben Records. Available in your most beloved distro very soon.

The New Album “Dworkin’s Bastards” from the awesome guys of One Night Stand In North Dakota is now available for 6€ from our distro. The emotional acoustic protest song hit machine is back with their best material up to date. If you like their song from the split 7inch (only one remaining in our distro), you will love the stuff on their 1st full-length. For those whho are unfamiliar with the band: think early against me with dual vocals , more hits, more politics, more fun, more Thelma & Louise.
