The Third Memory – 2nd LP pre-order

The Third Memory’s second full-length will be released pretty soon. This is a split release of ROK LOK Records, Sadness Of Noise Records, Petit Chantier Records, Desertion Records and React With Protest Records.
The Third Memory are a french band having already released a first lp, a split 7″ with the already defunct Cease Upon The Capitol and another split 7″ with the also already dead Only For The Sake Of Aching. They play screamo with hardcore influences in the vein of Tristan Tzara or even Orchid.
You can pre-order the record already from each label listed above, no info about the price. The record should be send to the pressing plant in the next two weeks, all recordings are done already.

Aereogramme – Deluxe 8 Vinyl Box Set pre order

Finally you can pre order the in June announced Aereogramme vinyl box set.
It consists of everything the band has ever put out besides the “Seclusion” EP, most of this stuff was never available on vinyl before.

There are two possible versions

• Deluxe 8 Vinyl Box Set + Downloads of everything included: This version is restricted to one per costumer, which is due to the downloads.
• Deluxe 8 Vinyl Box Set: This version can be ordered unlimited.

There are only 1000 pieces of this sets made, sadly, but due to the weight of the set the vinyl is NOT on 180g. Included in the set are an exclusive introduction by journalist Hardeep Phull as well as liner notes and personal reflections on Aereogramme’s career by bassist, Campbell McNeil.

Neil On Impression 2×12Inch pre order

The pre order of the soon to be released “L’Oceano Delle Onde Che Restano Onde Per Sempre” 2×12″ of the great instrumental rockers Neil On Impression has started.
This is a split release of Denovali Records, Sons Of Vesta Records and Holidays Records. It’s an overall pressing of 500 pieces where 150 are on blue/green vinyl, others on black vinyl.

Marat – Discography 7inch announced!

Oh yes, one of the best demos i heard in years was the one by Marat, this really tight 5-piece hailing from Groningen, the Netherlands. This is ex-Shikari and pre-Ravens, hard stuff done in the vein of heavier Portraits Of Past or Yaphet Kotto.
And now Basti and Jens from Moment Of Collapse Records announced the release of a 4-song discography 7″. Expect more information on this soon, i’m very excited about this news!

FTC sounds like we are back in the 90s, in the mid90s, there are Frail, Rites of Spring and similar artists in whose vein FTC rocks these 5 songs on this 10″ with wonderful artwork done by Lauren Smyth:

The Tallest Man On Earth

Again no hardcore or screamo stuff, but my personal favourite for the last weeks, Kristian Matsson from Dalarna Sweden. He is the human being behind the name The Tallest Man On Earth. And he is the possibly best folk artist the world has seen in a long time! Check out his new album called “Shallow Grave” which has got some really great reviews on DoA and Pitchfork.
